THE GQP

THE ABSURD TIMES

Illustration: I found this through a search engine. It seems to be the idea people have when they talk about Jim Crow.

Jim Crow 2.0

by

TSAR Khastic

Perhaps I better stick with Ellis Dea, in spite of all the objections? I have no idea what is going on with my name, really, but it is some sort of site trying to squeeze money out of people. So, I tried Tsar Donic, a more Eurpoean spelling for the name, and the search engine defaulted back to the old name. I may just go without a name altogether. Who needs it? No, that will not do. So, another change – ready? Tsar Khastic. Hold on, I have to check that. Well, not exactly clean, but there will be no misunderstandings. Now, I’m not going back and changing the name on 14 years or more of postings, however – people can figure that one out for themselves.

The Jim Crow idea seems to have come out right after Lincoln was murdered. Andrew Johnson followed and he blocked any legislation that might have helped the situation (I do not remember this from reading Carl Sandburg’s version), and he was impeached. In the senate he was saved by one vote by one character who voted “not guilty” and thus saved him. For this, JFK listed the guy in his Profiles in Courage book. It was only later that people found out he was bribed to vote no. Oh well, JFK had no way to know this – at least I didn’t.

I have never been very sure about Jim Crow laws or how they arose other than the fact that they are racially discriminatory and therefore part of the south. Nothing south of Urbana was of any interest, so why should I? If anything, I was more concerned about the history of the Cubs who last won a world series about the time mankind learned how to fly, just shortly after Kitty Hawk. Since then, I have picked up a great deal, but still was more interested in the Evils of the Norman invasion of 1066 and the battle of Hastings rather than, what was it, Alabama?

Besides, we had out own history. We did not have a Gone with the Wind, but we did have The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair with its racism – see, Poles considered Lithuanians an inferior race, and so on. We also had Lack London who was Mayor of Berkley, CA. So who needed this silly self-interested and mindless twit called Scarlet? And where was there Al Capone and John Dillinger? I didn’t hear of any Valentine’s Day Massacre down where people said Y’all and stuff like that. And don’t believe the propaganda that Henry Ford started the assembly line – meat companies started it in Chicago. Sinclair’s book finally got Teddy Roosevelt to try to supervise the pprocessing of the food we eat.

Many of you may not know this, but I used to have a criminal record. Actually, just a few records in the 1121 Club on South State Street, as a Disk Jockey I knew back then called it. He eventually escaped to San Francisco and became very popular out there. His name was Dan Sorkin. His crime was playing Lenny Bruce records and making fun of Mayor Daley. There was a great deal of complaining about the language used, so he hung a large sign outside his apartment that said FUCK COMMUNISM. This was with the HUAC hearing still fresh in people’s minds, I think, so no one knew for sure what to charge him with. However, he did very well after leaving and was very happy out west..

Well, one summer, when the semi-pro baseball team I usually played for disintegrated due to widespread hatred within, I worked at the 1121 Club in the very room where the records were kept. Since mine were very minor and not deemed worth of pursuing by anybody, I was able to simply remove the 3x5 cards they were kept on and suddenly I had a clean record. Notes from when I was still a teen were worthless anyway. Now, however. I fear I may obtain a new record in this digital age.

I don’t know how many have been following the news, but laws has been passed iin at least a couple of states making it a felony to give a bit of water to someone waiting in a voting line down in Dixie. I’m not sure what the charge would be: FELONIOUS DISTRIBUTION OF A BOTTLE OF WATER IN DIXIE, is a possibility. Would this eliminate me from the right to vote? I’m not sure. Maybe Noam Chomsky could figure it out? There is no Nero Wolfe.

I have seen a few iterations of what to call the, pardon the expression, Republicans. I have seen GQP, which is a nice one but seems to make it a bit pernament, GOPQ, which I have used a few times, and qGOP. I’m not sure which fits better. I do remember hearing several recordings from attorneys arguing for prior rulings, saying quite openly “If a lot of people vote, we would loose, your honor.” They were speaking on behalf of the GQP. So, a bunch of old white guys in ties are busy passing laws to keep the voting levels down.

One of the more amusing arguments was using the argument that Sunday was the sabbath and therefore all such activity needed to stop on the sabbath. The problem, as many pointed out, was that the quote came from Exodus and referred to Judasm. That would make the sabbath on Saturday and, I suppose, require everyone who wanted to vote of a Saturday produce some sort of ID proving they were not Jewish. Not even these old white guys wearing ties in Dixie were that stupid, so that part was dropped.

Still, stupidity thrives like a fire in a dry forest. I’ve been missing the news and had not seen anything since Biden gave his first Press conference. So, what is going on. Apparently, behind the Governor of Georgia where he signed the bill into law, was a painting or representation of some sort of a plantation. I’ve only heard this second hand, so perhaps I’m misinformed. Still, even the notion and the suspicion that it could be true is enough to make me accept GQP as the name for the political party he represents. [This is proofreading: I had gone out to get something to eat and then returned to find out more. It seems it was, indeed, a slave plantation, 100 slaves worked there singing Bible songs, I guess. GQP IT SHALL BE.] Also, a black, female, member of the legislature was handcuffed for knocking on his door while he was signing it. “Swing low, sweet chariot, coming for to carry me home… .”] Fortunately, further words fail me at this point, but then I may not finish this for a few days.

So, more information becomes available: the painting in the background where the Governor of Georgia signed is indeed of a plantation. It was Calloway plantation and they had 100 slaves there. There is a county of Calloway in Missouri that declaired itself a kingdom during the civil war and thus not a part of anything around it. The largest city there was Fulton, the town where the author of Kings Row, later a movie starring Ronald Reagen. An elderly local is certain that the author was of “illegitimate birth” as nobody else in that family had any brains. There is more I’ve unearthed about it, including the arrest of Tom Eagelton from back in the days Missouri had democrats as Senators rather than nuts who raised their fists in salute to the insurrectionists at our capital.

At the time of the signing, a black woman, a member of the legislator, knocked on his door and two state troopers handcuffed her and arrested her. I am not sure what charges were made.

Similar bills are being written and processed in many states where the majority of voters, both Democratic and Republican, find Biden’s activities positive. The bills are designed to inhibit, or prevent, people of color or other minorities (you figure that out) from voting. HR 1 and S1 bills are designed to prevent that. HR was passed by the house of representatives, but S1, right now, would requite a 60% share of the Senators. Since there are only 50 Democrats, and 2 are almost Republicans, the bill does not look healthy unless cloture, or the filibuster, can be overcome.

There is more, and this I’ve seen, and I know it is difficult to believe: 19 GQP Senators patrolled the Rio Grande, armed with automatic rifles, ostensively protecting Der Vaterland (us) from invading 10 year old villains from Central America. I shit you not. They are actually doing this. See, they were promised that Trump and My Pillow would declair Martial law and make them in charge of the NEW AMERIKA, but they must have gotten the message wrong. More work needs to be done. Ted Cruz posed for a photo or whatever with him in the bushes.

For example, Tony Fauci and other evil scientists have put autism and anti-sperm genes in the vaccine. Q, it seems, is still active. We have plenty of Asian Americans around so we can keep an eye out for them. Also, it appears that several Democratic Senators got their own boat for a similar voyage, but without the guns, I understand.

I hate to use the name, but Fox news is being sued for 1.5 billion dollars for defamation for spreading the lie that the machines and the software, run in Venezuela and Cuba stole the election from Trump. That peaceful love fest of January 6, where people hugged and kissed the police, tried to save democracy and Fox duely reported that version of it. Well, Dominion is suing for defamation and the defense is clearly stated: “No reasonable person would take these reports and statements by and on Fox seriously.” Well, who else would be watching?

Well, I did, just to see what this alternate universe what all about. It was late on a Friday or Saturday evening and I saw some “newscaster” announcing that the entire Press conference with Joe Biden was scripted. Now I had seen most of that, missing only the last 5 minutes or so. If that was scripted, it has to be nominated from some sort of award as I saw no sign of written questions other than what one would expect. He did have some notes, but they did not appear as a part of a script. In short, it seemed a very strange opinion. And the defense attorney was correct – I could not take that comment seriously. I’ll simply leave that one up to the judge.

Too much nonsense about Syria lately. Bashir had no intention of even being involved in running the country. His plan was to continue his practice as an eye doctor in England. Only a couple of deaths in the family caused him to sigh and then take over. I just put that in there because it seems to be overlooked in coverage here. In addition, Russia and Iran are the only two countries invited into Syria and this makes all other violators in violation of the Geneva Convention and by all United Nations standards.

The current peak in visitors to our border in lower than the one last year under 45, and is a result of our treatment of three Central American Countries. Who leave their home, walks a thousand miles, loosing six thousand dollars or more to do so, just because they like Joe Biden? I wouldn’t.

Well, not much else I want to bother with, except I think the all-star baseball game should be moved out of Georgia. If you fly, don’t use Delta, and avoid coke. All of these have their business centers in Georgia and you can let them know why you don’t want to have anything more to do with them.

Let's Really Investigate

The Absurd Times

Now for the real issues. The media is really trying its best to cover the burning issues of the day.
Why, I've noticed that all the networks have run Paris Hilton's response to John McCain's silly phallic-ridden ad, and the McCain campaign thanked her for agreeing with McCain's energy policy (it didn't).
The latest big story, no, not the invasion of Gerogia -- well, let's look into that. His Decidership announced that "Georgia is a Sovereign nation" and, I assume, Russia should follow our example towards such nations, such as we showed in Iraq and Venezuela and so forth. Putin was with him at the Olympics and replied diplomatically, "Up yours."
But no, I'm talking about what is really important -- Edwards had an affair two years ago. Over and over, and we even get photos of the blonde photographer he had it with. However, if the story is that important, really, they really should dig into it. I mean, was he on top or was she. Did they do it doggie style? Was oral sex involved? She mentioned his being willing to try "new things" -- did they include equiptment or costumes? Handcuffs? How many orgasms did she have? Comon, media, we want to know how to vote and it is your job to get us the facts, so shape up!!
