THIS IS US?

THE ABSURD TIMES

OUR FARCE
This is difficult to deal with. We have seen photos of ex-leaders for a long time. England has given us several this year, Merkel of Germany, even here we have seen Obama several times. I remember photos of Gorbachev. No matter what our relation to these leaders, nothing has been so blatantly gauche as the illustration above. Try to imagine photos of Truman, Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Carter, Reagen, Bush, Clinton, Obama, and then picture someone from another country seeing photos of our past Presidents who runs across this. We may wind up locking him up, but this will still be there.

Zelinski, President of Ukraine, addressed a session of Congress, Senators and Representatives, Republicans. Almost all gave him standing ovations several times. Now, not taking sides, right after he finished and the summary began, I just clicked over to the Fox News channel first to see if they even carried it and second what their reaction was. I saw one of their most popular figures saying "There you have it – Mr. Zelinsky has just declared war on Christianity!" I don't expect anyone in his or her right mind to think that happened, so  I clicked away as fast as I could to avoid going down his rabbit hole.

SOCIAL MEDIA FARCE
The next absurdity is a guy named Elon. This is so strange, really, too strange to discuss, so I'll just relate a few things I saw. He kicks people off for things he then does. He says he has been doxed (sounds terrible, has to drink lots of fluids?) while in his private plane and this was an assassination attempt. Well, as someone pointed out, the only person or persons who could assassinate him while he was in his plane would be someone with guided anti-aircraft missiles. Well, when you are big, you get big enemies?

Now people complain about the maggats that bother them, but I seldom see them more than once. One said it bothered him that Jill Biden called herself Dr. when she had no medical degree. I told him to look at his own Doctoral Diploma and read where it says "Awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in [your field here] and is entitled to all the rights and privileges thereto appertaining." "Please let me know if yours says something like that?" I never heard from him again. Another said I should know about all the Nazis in Ukraine. I asked him "Really? I wanna know more. Who invented the swastika? I just gotta know. Really, I gotta know. Please tell me?" I never heard from him. I guess I'm just not popular. Never did make friends easily.

Elon did not kick me off. This is probably because I don't really go looking for "followers" and thus am not that visible. Still, I am more nasty, rude, and sardonically inclined than those who did get kicked off. I feel left out, but then everyone was miffed that they didn't make Nixon's "Enemies List," so it doesn't mean much anyway. I did tell everyone that the Orangeman would not go back to Twitter because 1) it would mean his platform had failed and 2) because it would give someone authority over him. No one believed me. Oh well. Lonely are the brave.

UKRAINE
As mentioned above, Faux News, home of alternate facts, announced that Ukraine declared war on Christianity. I do remember when the Maidan invasion, so supported by Hillary, that we pointed to the number of Neo-Nazis taking part. They protested, saying that there was nothing Neo about them: they were pure Nazis. Ok. Everybody has a right to his or her own name, I suppose. Hillary liked this guy they called "Yaz", but I saw that guy, literally, carried off of the stage. Things actually were going ok until the buddy of Putin was deposed. Zelinsky is the first one able to run a country and I pointed out that only his experience as a stand-up comic prepared him for the task. So far as I am still able to tell, those Nazis are in the Ukraine military. Maybe, if they have to be anywhere, that's where they should be. Many perceptive people think otherwise, but the most perceptive have just abandoned the issue.

I've never thought of Putin as some sort of holy figure, but he has been resourceful, cunning, and effective. Many in Crimea did in fact vote to join the Russian Federation and one explains why: "I will be doing the same job and get 4 times the salary. Why not?" Right after that, our own media decided there would be no more such interviews because our corporate world has enough to do convincing people they are well off. We don't need bad examples. Four times the salary, indeed. Why that would make yachts and private planes very difficult. Screw that sort of news.

From both sides we hear accusations of rape and how can that be a military goal? Never got the point. Anyway, facts are impossible to come by these days no matter how many sources you try. Flipping a coin is just as like to tell you who is right in this affair than any sort of careful analysis.

Religion – IRAN-AFGHANISTAN-UKRAINE
First, I need to show that this is not just a part of Shiite Islam, but applies to all religions.

Perhaps an example will help: two young students training to become Buddhist Priests are walking to their place of residence. They walk along a river. About noon, they see a young girl trying to cross the river, but very afraid. One monk picks her up and carries her across the river, puts her down, and both continue to walk along the river. About Dusk, the other monk begins to complain to the first one, saying "How could you? Do you not remember we are not supposed to even think of the female? That such thoughts will pollute our minds?"

At this point, the first Monk asks "I left the girl back at the river at noon. Are you still carrying her?" END OF THE POINT. Now, if the point eludes you, you will never get it anyway.

More important is the recent behavior of the Buddhist government in Burma. They showed great intolerance for the Moslem population, butchering many of them as others escaped. Again, we see a misunderstanding of the purpose of the religion and a great befouling of the concept.

So it is in Iran. Keep in mind that "Islam" means "peace" (among many other things and that this is not intended to be an indictment of the religion. There are many issues in support of it (religion), such as comforting those who feel hopeless, lonely, abandoned, and so on. The problem with it is the ABUSE, using it as a weapon. It is all too easy to attack, punish, harm, violate, or torture anyone simply because you claim that some God said you should. First, you have never established the existence of that being and, more importantly, there is no way for the "defendant" to cross-examine this "God" that was invoked. [The number 1.800-GOD-TALK is always busy.] This applies to all religions; Iran just seems to be at the forefront these days.

I really don't want to get started on this one as it is nothing but contemptible. It's too easy. Still, somebody's got to do it, right? Before I start, let me say that I have been accused enough times as supporting Iran when I simply was presenting facts.  Furthermore, all the same crap is going on in Afghanistan, only more so. No women in the University. [I guess they get ideas there, and women with ideas are all polluted?]

There is a bunch of old farts in Iran who haven't come up with any ideas or glimpses of sanity since the onset.  How did we get here?

Well, here's a quick history. Way back, the Iranian elected a leader, who believed in a benevolent government, giving people a share of the wealth, and so on. Well, John Foster Dulles, and maybe Alan, John, Eisenhower's Secretary of State, could not have that, so he had to go. We, then, replaced him with the Shah, the only well-known figure that would accept the position. He ruled and became increasingly Fascistic to the point where the people overthrew him and, sadly, replaced him with the Ayatollah. (There was a brief period of about 29 days wherein Shapur Baktiar was appointed by the Shah and then was dead.) So, advisors had all sorts of ideas about diversifying the Economy, building highways, and so on. The Ayatollah moved immediately to make sure the women swam in the morning and the men in the afternoon. Those were his priorities. This was just before Raygun took over here.

Next came an invasion of Marine Headquarters where over 200 marines were killed by the Ayatollah's weapons. Ronnie snapped into action, got the hall outta there, and invaded some small, defenseless Island in South America called Grenada. (Got to have a war somewhere.) Since the delivery of the weapons by us to the Ayatollah was illegal, Ollie North ran it from the White House Basement, but the Attorney General decided not to prosecute (that was William Barr, BTW.). Ollie was vile enough to be recruited by the NRA to be spokesman, but seems to have decided it was too corrupt and left. (This is the guy who tried to arm insurrection armies, Contras, in Honduras, to overthrow the Sandinista government nearby. The world court decided we were guilty of international crimes, but who cares?

So, I've digressed. Now, these Bozos in Iran decided to arrest and ultimately killed a woman for "improper use of the headscarf". In other words, hair was showing. Now, most of Iran was born AFTER the Shah was deposed. Eventually, this got to be too much. I talked to several Iranians who would know why these clerics have such a deal with women's hair. After all, the only reference to apparel in Islam is to dress modestly while at prayer. AND THS MEANS YOU, TOO.

Well, I'm told by several here, those who got out in time, that the belief is that long, flowing, woman's hair makes men mad for sex and prone to rape. This does seem to demean both men and women. Not a Shiite myself, I can say that I find women's long, flowing hair often to be very beautiful, but I've never felt a surge of testosterone as a result of seeing it. I actually felt quite uncomfortable seeing them cut their hair, not only because I like the hair, but also because it seems to acquiesce in the view held by these old farts called Ayatollahs. But, I am not of that particular sect, so it's not for me to judge.  Shiites have to deal with this, but the idea of executing people for (the word seems to begin with an "m") war against God seems to underestimate the ability of God to withstand attacks by himself (no herself allowed, I'm afraid).

Anyway, that's enough of this. 2022 has worn out its welcome. Fortunately, the Orangeman is not in control and may soon be declared ineligible for any government position. I've always thought that, but now its time to make it official.

Of course, we have to think about baby Jesus. In Ukraine, the traditional time for commutation is Jan 7, but they will also do the same, or did the same, Dec. 25 (to celebrate Newton or Jesus). The strange thing about it, he was most likely born about the time we celebrate Easter. To sum this all up, Brezhnev occupied Afghanistan and things were pretty easy going. We supported Bin Laden (remember him?) to help overthrow Russia that got out. Naturally, he blew up the twin towers in New York so we had to get him and he was, reportedly, in Afghanistan.  So to get him, we invaded, killed him in Pakistan, and dumped him in the Atlantic, but stayed. Now we left as the Orangeman made the deal so women there have to cover up everything. OH HOLY DAYS!

We are quite safe in saying that if one is a Zionist, the one is not a Jew in the religious sense, anyway. I have asked a number of Rabbis and they have confirmed their belief in this. One can not be a "Christian Nationalist" and a Christian at the same time. The same appllies to any other utilization of any amorphous entity.

HAWKINGS
We needn't go into all we know about Stephan Hawkings other than to say that he was an extremely brilliant physicist who had finally formulated the concept of "string theory" which posits that there are far more than the pitiful four dimensions we commonly use.

We can also observe that the idea of a creator of the universe was necessary. That is simply because we always think in terms of cause and effect. If there is a universe, something must have cased it. However, this is merely a predujice we have because it requires the concept of the existence of time as a dimension. If a thing has happened, something must have happened before it, we believe. However, at the time of the big bang, none of the deimentions existed. At least 10 are posited as having evolved at first, but it is possible that many more preceded that but, as the idea sinks in, that still requires the concept of the dimension of time. To put it another way, and to seem tautological at the same TIME (there is that conecpt again), there is no time until that dimension forms. We are still thinking here in terms of time as established.

What all this does do, it posit wuite convincingly, that the idea of a creator has no meaning until after the dimension of time is established.

Much of this happened at the time of the Higgs boson being discovered. When charged with writing or formulating an equation for that particle, the person called it that "God Damned" particle. This became elided to the "God Particle". Also the idea that the particle explains, somehow the way a reaction can cause an action, exactly in the inverse order it is understood, given our understanding of the dimension of time.

This diagram was supposed to help as it is a pictorial interpretation of the equation.  I have not seen the equation myself, nor do I want to:

God-damn particle

THE ABSURD TIMES

A pictoral representation of the equation devised by Goins to finally arrive at a mathematical solution to the Higgs Boson -- what he called "The God-Damn" particle.  I found it, of all places, after searching just about anywhere else, on Wikipedia.  It has doubtless been revised and attacked, but that’s your problem.

God-damn

It is really getting far too weird for me, so I’m going to start with something else than usual.

Recently, someone quoted Stephen Hawkings as saying there was no God to create the universe.  Well, it is true, but it takes awhile to get there and, believe me, I’ve simplified this as much as possible.  The math is out and the ideas, still debated, and pared down to the point that we are discussing an Alpha-Romeo by seeing one of its tires. Still, I hope I’ve been able to get across how far the God Squad has to go to establish a viable alternative as to the origin of the universe(s).  It is mind-stretching.

We have to start with the Higgs Boson, sometimes called the “God” particle. Well, lets get rid of that idea first.  It come from some physisist/mathemetician (the boundaries have not existed for decades now) who was assigned to work on it and he got so frustrated with the mathematics of it that he called it ‘THE GODDAMN PARTICLE”. So, sorry, there is no real metaphysical significance to that term, (one would suppose).

It’s value is that is is the particle that gives mass to all the other subatomic particles, starting with hydrogen for that had been missing since the 50s at least.  Finally, they were able to find it a CERN (still the one superconductingsupercollider of distinction).  Gerogie Bush wanted to build an even bigger one, but would listen to nobody with any knowledge and tried to build it in TEXAS (of course). Well, ants kept eating it, so it never really got built.  (But I digress).

So, where does the string theory come into this? Well, before anything else, at the big bang, these strings, not particles, came out and each represented a dimension. The Higgs particle/space generates 30 dimensions in itself.  However, there are other particles and theories, each with their own plethora of dimensions. The easiest to wrap your mind around (you still there? Ok.) is the idea of a two dimensional model that combines all the dimensions but requires a mirror to be understood. (Don’t ask me, I was lost about 2/3rds of the way through this.)  This gives rise to plausible idea of multi-verses.  I’ll just stick with out own and focus on earth. That’s enough for me.

All of our ideas, theories, beliefs, etc., depend upon some sort of cause and effect, and that requires the dimension of time.  I started out as  Physics Major in college and had read a great deal about relativity, thought experiments, nuclear reactions, and so forth, but such topics were never even considered in the official classes we took.  All of them, without exception, seemed to be designed for the education of civil engineers. The focus was on Newtonian mechanics with a bit of newer ideas thrown in, but nothing beyond electricity (which they were still debating as to whether is traveled in waves or particles) and related topics. Gauss and then Maxwell seemed to be the most abstract thinkers they could follow – and I mean the "Professors".

I remember very vividly once, having heard of the activity of the hyperon where the reaction took place a micro nano second before the action and was eager for direction on where to search for more information.  I raised the question in class and was answered with “when we want to be talking about that stuff, we should all be wearing along beards!” He chuckled, hoping for a class agreement and was greeted with yawns.  Such was the intellectual climate. I also had trouble in a mathematics class because I used a novel solution (I thought) to a Calculus problem and nearly flunked for the sin of reading ahead to the next semester. Naturally, I hadn’t and it was the first time I had ever been attacked for actually reading anything in these textbooks before I absolutely had to and the only thing that kept me awake was looking for spelling errors or omissions of proper exponents.  It was also the last. (I think I had suddenly, with no reasoning at all, applied what was known as “L’Hospital’s Rule, a clever rearrangement of sine and cosine.)  Never mind.  At least this is more intriguing than thinking about Donald Trump.

Anyway, now we have the background. The concept of a God or “Creator" relies on our experience in the four, or two, dimensions we confine ourselves to, all of them not in existence until AFTER the big bang. Using the dimensions that we are able to detect and in which we live, we have developed a prejudice in favor of cause and effect, and this idea depends on these dimensions. Essentially, it states tha one thing causes another and that means one thing happened before another, and the relies on the dimension of time.  Space is another dimension, although we usually divide it into three, length, height, and width.  In any case, none of this happened before the dimensions emerged, and the idea of cause and effect only makes use of two or three of them. Thus a “creator" is a ludicrous concept.

So, the Senate Republicans want to confirm someone to make sure that healthcare is more expensive, skip the idea of helping those who are out of work as a result of our mishandling of Covid, and make sure that the current occupant remains in the White House, eh? Let’s have a good laugh at that one!  Then realize tat a majority of our population is stupid enough to vote for him.  Talk about String Theory being a puzzle.

Here are a few simplified statements regarding our discussion:

The Higgs boson is an elementary particle in the Standard Model of particle physics, produced by the quantum excitation of the Higgs field,[8][9] one of the fields in particle physics theory.[9] It is named after physicist Peter Higgs, who in 1964, along with five other scientists, proposed the Higgs mechanism to explain why particles have mass. This mechanism implies the existence of the Higgs boson. The Higgs boson was initially discovered as a new particle in 2012 by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations based on collisions in the LHC at CERN, and the new particle was subsequently confirmed to match the expected properties of a Higgs boson over the following years.

String Theory

String theory began as bosonic string theory, whose 26 dimensions act as many fewer. Yet this modeled only bosons, which are energy particles, while omitting fermions, which are matter particles. So bosonic string theory could not explain matter. Yet by adding supersymmetry to bosonic string theory, fermions were achieved, and string theory became superstring theory, explaining matter, too.

(In versions of quantum field theory that include supersymmetry (SUSY), each boson has a corresponding fermion, and vice versa. That is, each energy particle has a corresponding matter particle, and each matter particle has a corresponding energy particle, yet the unobservable partner is more massive and thus super. These superpartners might seem an extravagant prediction, yet many theorists and experimentalists favor supersymmetric versions of the Standard Model, whose equations must otherwise be tweaked extravagantly and sometimes arbitrarily to maintain predictive success or mathematical consistency, but with the superpartners align.

It seems as if some of the devotees of the Abrahamic Religions felt left out, So I conclude with a quote from one of their favorite books, in fact the Bible of the Judeo-Christian ones:

"I saw a pale horse and a pale rider upon it.

And the name of the horse was Pestilence,

And the name of the rider was death."

So now everyone is is happy?

[I may add more as new issues concerning this arise, but I have not heard from any pantheists or Buddhists yet.
