Introducing new staff writer, Ellis Dea

We start out this edition with a creation co-written by two of my dead friends, long ago. One died in the 80s and the other just recently as a result of the Trump flu. John Prine is pretty well-known now, and Steve Goodman, well, I lost track of him soon after helping with the video of the left field bleachers in what we still call Wrigley field, no matter what corporate America says. (I think the real downfall started with Dallas Green, but who knows for sure? If you see a game from there at any time in the future, you will see that there has been much construction behind the outfield. We all considered Boston fans wimps because they complained about not having won a championship since Ruth left. Well, the Cubs won nothing for 108 years. This is a record that will stand for centuries.
Actually, I didn't even know these two, Steve and John, had written this song until a short time ago. I have a brief religious homage to pay, and then I will provide the link.
I am not sure if this is a joke or a real sign and nobody can tell me.
OKI. So here is the perfect country song, written by Steve Goodman and John Prine after I lost touch with both of them. I have to caution many of you who simply hate country music that it is the lyrics that make the point and the earliest verses set it up. If you know country music, you can see the humor from the start:
And that, my friends, is enough for this edition!
